PostSubject: The contract   Wed Jun 29, 2011 4:58 am

Skiwa took a deep breath as he looked down upon the temple. The mere thougt of those benders, so pompous, so self-righteous, made him cringe in hate. He knew what had to be done though, an eath nation lord demanded the life of a refugee hiding in the presence of the benders. The contract was simple, make the man disapear, an easy enough contract in thought. Unfortunatly enough he was accompanied by a rather powerful man-servant. The man-servant was once a great warrior in the earth nation army who specialized in sword play. so cliche he thought, no matter, the servant will die just like the target. He glided down from his perch on one of the temple points and dissapeared down a back alley. The mid-day sun beat down on temple as Skiwa fumbled around in his bag. He procured the bottle he was looking for, nightshade infused with hemlock, put a little bit into some food and the imbiber will die. He grinned at the simplicity of it all, that gold was as good as his.

Skiwa crept into the temple's kitchen, it wasn't long before he had subdued one of the servers for the refugees and taken their garments. He took a bowl of soup destined for the two from the cook, making sure to avert eye contact with the cook who barely took notice to is existence. Skiwa exited the kitchen and went into the courtyard where he saw his target sitting with his manservant under the canopy of a tree. As Skiwa walked towards the two he couldn't help but notice the subtle ways that his target moved, the near dance that he performed as he walked towards his servant to take the food. He could barely contain his excitement, the man was a bender, and he deserved a worse death than poison. Skiwa continued his approach to the two but as he was about to hand over the soup, he tripped himself and sent the soup spilling onto the lap of the man servant. He flew into a fit of rage and tossed Skiwa across the courtyard. "YOU BLASTED FOOL! get out of my sight before i toss you down this blasted mountain myself!" Rather than confront the infuriated Servant, Skiwa just groveled and ran away. He knew it was a matter of time before he could exact his brutal, calculated revenge.

Night crept in fast as the sun fell and the cool air settled across the mountain. The moonlight danced across the tree tops as Skiwa sat atop a tree near his desired location. Air lemurs played amongst the treetops as he took in the peaceful terrain. Thoughts of a different life played inside his mind as he imagined himself a simple trader, maybe with a small shop in Ba Sing Se. At that moment he saw them, the man servant following the bender as they walked along the cliff side. The bender stared out at the open air as e said something imperceptible to the servant while he fiddled with his necklace, the proof of the contract's completion. Skiwa knew now was the time to strike, he knocked an arrow to his bow as he centered his chi. He centered in on the base of the servant's neck as he waited. The wind was a soft whisper but he knew what he needed to wait for, as he felt the imperceptible movements of the breeze he could tell what was about to come. A gust of wind blew through the mountains as Skiwa released his arrow and guided it carefully yet viciously towards his target. The arrow took the servant off his feet as he soundlessly tumbled down the mountainside. The target was cought off guard and Skiwa took his chance to strike, he let the wind take him as he landed behind his target and severed the water bottle the target held at his side. He let out a yell as the bottle tumbled down the cliffs he turned swiftly and faced Skiwa but it was too late, Skiwa grabbed him by the chest and lifted him into the air. Skiwa tore the necklace from his body and then preceded his most brutal execution. He pulled the air out of the target's chest and formed a vortex around his head to prevent any air from entering. As he struggled Skiwa felt the life drain from the targets chest before letting his corpse fall. The contract was complete, it was now time to start his journey back, and collect his well earned reward.
